Sound Barrier Package

The Sound Barrier Package is supported from the top floating member consisting of galvanized steel members. The Sound Barrier Package is capable of supporting two layers of Durock concrete board furnished and installed by the General Contractor.

Access Doors

Access Doors are galvanized, insulated and hinged with handles for access into the curb. The hinged access doors shall be installed and sealed to be weather tight. Wood nailers shall be provided as required.

Acoustical Lining

Curb walls, floor and/or plenum dividers acoustically lined internally with fiber glass acoustical duct liner with reinforced coating system designed to withstand up to 6000 fpm air velocity. Liner shall not support microbial growth and shall be EPA registered and pass ASTM C 1071 & ASTM G 21bacterial tests conducted in accordance with ASTM G 22.

Double Wall Panels 

Walls, floors and/or plenum dividers 1” – 4” thick constructed of 22 gauge solid galvanized panels with 22 gauge galvanized perforation (23 % open area). Insulation is fiber glass acoustical duct liner with reinforced coating system.

Service Platforms

A 48” wide integral service platform is attached to the curb without short circuiting the effectiveness of the vibration isolation. The outside of the service platform can be supported by adjustable steel stanchions. The platform constructed of galvanized grating is capable of supporting 125 lb per square ft. All railings are fixed and welded in place as instructed by the General Contractor. Removable railings optional.

Slope

Curbs built to match the roof pitch in accordance with all seismic & wind load requirements. Positive attachment of the curb to the structure is imperative.

Filter Racks

Filter racks installed internally to accommodate such requirements.

Sound Attenuators

Sound attenuators provided as an integral part of the fully assembled curb with all the required supports, flexible connections, flashing and safing.
